Pryde Projects is thrilled to showcase the successful refurbishment of the Members Concourse and Lounge Area on Level 5 of the eastern grandstand at Suncorp Stadium. This project underscores our expertise in commercial construction, fit-out, and refurbishment services, demonstrating our ability to deliver high-quality results under tight timelines and challenging conditions.
Project Overview
The Suncorp Stadium project involved a comprehensive refurbishment to enhance the members’ experience and modernize the lounge and concourse areas. The scope of work included:
- Upgrading the members lounge and associated corridor, including a new northern entry store.
- Demolishing the existing wall between the corridor and the function room.
- Demolishing and reconstructing the northern lounge bar.
- Demolishing two corridor/concourse bars and reconstructing a new bar in a new configuration.
- Upgrading all outlined floor finishes.
- Upgrading all outlined wall treatments.
- Demolishing and installing new smoke compartmentalization doors in the concourse.
- Providing associated electrical, communication, data, and security services.
- Providing associated hydraulic, fire, and mechanical services.
Our Contributions
Pryde Projects was responsible for several key refurbishment elements, including ceilings, partitions, doors, frames and hardware, custom curved cornices and bulkheads, and feature wall panelling. Our team brought expertise in these areas to deliver a transformed space that meets the high standards of Suncorp Stadium.
Overcoming Challenges
The project presented significant challenges, including a tight program over the Christmas break and ongoing events at the stadium, such as football games and concerts. Our team worked diligently to navigate these obstacles, ensuring minimal disruption to stadium operations and maintaining our commitment to quality and efficiency.
Project Outcome
The Suncorp Stadium refurbishment was completed one week ahead of schedule, with minimal defects that were promptly addressed before final practical completion. The upgraded members lounge, corridor, and bars now offer a modern and inviting environment for members and guests, enhancing the overall experience at the stadium.
